Payment Methods

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major debit and credit cards, including:

  • Visa

  • MasterCard

  • American Express

All supported payment methods will be displayed during checkout. Payments on thesagio.com are processed securely via Stripe.

What currency will I be charged in?

Prices are displayed and charged in the currency of your shipping country.
To ensure you see accurate pricing, please select the correct country version of the SAGIO website — you can do this via the dropdown menu at the bottom of any page.

Is payment secure?

Yes. All transactions on thesagio.com are secured and compliant with international standards:

  • We use Stripe, a leading payment service provider.

  • Payments are protected by SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layer), ensuring your personal and financial data remains unreadable to third parties.

  • You’ll see “https” and a padlock icon in your browser’s address bar — confirming a secure connection.

  • In line with European DSP2 regulations, 3D Secure authentication is applied to all card payments.

When will I be charged for my order?

  • If you pay by credit/debit card, you will be charged once your order is shipped.

  • If an item becomes unavailable after your order, you will be automatically refunded for that item.

How do I use my discount code?

To use your promo code, simply enter it in the designated “Promotional Code” field during checkout and click Apply. The discount will be reflected in your total before payment.
If the code doesn't work, verify that it’s entered correctly, hasn't expired, and matches any promotion requirements (minimum purchase, eligible items, etc.). For further assistance, feel free to contact us at info@thesagio.com.

Can I request a tax refund (VAT) online?

Currently, SAGIO does not support online VAT refunds during the purchase process.
If you're shopping as a tourist or for export, please contact your local customs office at the time of departure to complete the necessary paperwork for tax refunds.

What should I do if my payment is declined?

Payment issues can occur for various reasons. Here's what you can try:

  1. Double-check your card details and ensure the billing address matches your bank records.

  2. Make sure your card has sufficient funds and is authorized for online / international transactions.

  3. Contact your bank to verify there are no restrictions on the transaction.

Alternatively, use a different payment method such as another credit card or PayPal. If issues persist, reach out to info@thesagio.com and include:

  • Your order number (if any)

  • A screenshot or description of the error message

Do I have to pay customs or import duties on delivery?

Depending on your country, orders may be subject to local customs inspections, import duties, or taxes. These fees are not included in the purchase price and are the customer's responsibility.
If your package is held at customs, we recommend contacting your local customs office for detailed information about any charges you may need to pay.

Product and Pre-order Information

How many collections are presented each year?

Each year, Alexander Sagio and the SAGIO team present two main collections:

  1. Spring/Summer, typically launched in March

  2. Fall/Winter, generally released in August

Are all your articles available in your online store?

Our online shop offers a wide range of ready-to-wear and haute couture pieces. However, some limited-edition items may not be available online. If you can’t find something, please contact info@thesagio.com and our team will assist you. 

Where can I find your previous collections?

We offer a dedicated archive section on our website featuring selected pieces from past collections. Occasionally, a few remaining archive items may not be listed online but can still be ordered through our customer service at info@thesagio.com.

We also offer pre-orders on selected archive pieces — keep an eye on our updates or reach out directly for availability.

How should I care for my item?

Materials differ—please follow the care instructions on the label exactly.
Incorrect care that damages the item may result in it not being considered defective, impacting return eligibility

Which size should I order?

Sizing can vary between products. We recommend reviewing our online size guide available on each product page.
If you need detailed advice, feel free to contact info@thesagio.com with your usual size, and we’ll help you choose the best fit.

What is a pre-order?

A pre-order allows you to purchase a piece before it is produced or restocked. This is common for couture, limited-run, or archive items that are made or prepared on demand.

How long will it take to receive my pre-order item?

Pre-order pieces typically require up to 3 weeks from the time your order is confirmed. This allows our atelier the time needed to carefully produce, inspect, and prepare your item to meet SAGIO’s quality standards.

Can I get an exact delivery date?

While 3 weeks is the average lead time, you are always welcome to contact our customer service team at info@thesagio.com for a more specific update based on the item and production status.

Can I cancel or modify my pre-order?

Since pre-order items are often made to order or limited in quantity, cancellations or changes may only be possible within 24 hours of placing your order. Please reach out to customer service as soon as possible if you need to make changes.

Can I return a pre-order item?

Yes — pre-order items are subject to the same return policy as in-stock items, as long as they are not personalized or custom-altered. All return requests must follow our standard process.

Are pre-order items charged immediately?

Yes, your payment is processed at the time of order confirmation, not at the time of shipment.
